This High Rise fire on the 17th floor of an office complex was the inspiration for Cornelius to develop the
SpeedSwivel FDC adapter.
Chief Cornelius was first to arrive on the fire scene.
When first alarm units arrived they found all the brass FDC components missing and the fire pump inoperable.
The SpeedSwivel was developed as a solution for "Firefighters" when they encounter
Missing and/or Stolen Brass FDC swivels.
NFPA 13-E, 4.2 (#6) "An alternative solution"
(Now we have SpeedSwivel FDC Adapters)

"Firehouse Evaluation: This is a true game changer on the commercial fireground, particularly when members are faced with a damaged or inoperable FDC. Designed for speed and functionality, the innovative tool features a 2½-inch male adapter that can be threaded quickly onto an FDC where the attached short section of rigid pipe ends with female connection to effectively restore the FDC to fully operable. This setup turns a compromised standpipe or sprinkler connection into a usable and reliable water source in seconds."
